Roetvegen Piet's Letter
A One Line Poem Game
One of your settlers reported that they found an unconscious Roetvegen Piet in a street corner near the market square. Nothing else is known, except that the Roetvegen Piet was holding onto what appears to be a manuscript of some kind tightly. Your doctors attend to the Roetvegen Piet, and they have concluded that the Roetvegen Piet is cursed - its mind is trapped inside the mysterious manuscript!
There is a way to save the Roetvegen Piet. Sinterklaas has allowed us to use potent magic to influence the contents of this manuscript by writing a story ourselves. If we can pen a satisfactory story poem, it may free the poor Roetvegen Piet.
Determining that the fate of this Roetvegen Piet shouldn't rest on the shoulders of any one man or woman, your mayor has asked all Settlers to volunteer a line each, which will be added to the manuscript, in turn:
- You may add only a single line to the poem as a new post.
- Each stanza must be at most four lines.
- The last word of the first and second sentences and the last word of the third and fourth sentences should rhyme.
- Wait until at least 2 other Settlers have participated before you can post again.
- You must copy the previous entry, and add your line to the bottom of it using the bold formatting.
- If you are to add a new stanza, make sure to add a break and add the new stanza.
- Any post that breaks the forum rules, or tries to subvert the story with inappropriate content will be subject to moderation.
