Steam accounts

Does this mean we all have to use a Ubisoft account soon?
And yes, what will happen to our existing account? Me e.g. plays from Steam.

The announcement you quoted does not mean that all accounts will need to start using using a Ubisoft Account to log in to the game. Players who used Facebook or Steam to create an account with us will still be able to log in using these accounts. If anything changes after the end of Adobe Flash, we will definitely inform you.

Note that you can migrate your account from Steam (or Facebook) to a Ubisoft Account, if you want, at any time.
